Von Walen und Delfinen [of whales and dolphins]

In den letzten Monaten hat Julius eine Liebe zu Walen und Delfinen entwickelt. Anstatt Kuscheltiere wie Vivian nimmt er seinen Orka und Delfin zum Schlafen ins Bett und auf jeder Reise mit. Während des Sommerprogramms der Bücherei haben wir wohl jedes verfügbare Buch über Wale und Delfine ausgeliehen (vielleicht mit Ausnahme von Moby Dick).

During the summer reading program of our local library, we checked out every available book about these new friends of his.]

Heute waren wir mit Allie zusammen im IMAX und haben uns "Whales and Dolphins 3D" angeschaut. Wow, was für ein Erlebnis! Ich glaube, das kommt ziemlich nah ans "Whale watching" ran, das auf Julius' Wunschliste steht (neben anderen Sachen wie Hubschrauber fliegen, eine lange Eisenbahnfahrt mit Übernachtung erleben, mit auf Papas Motorrad fahren und ein eigenes Boot haben).

[Today, we went to watch "Whales and Dolphins 3D" at the IMAX. It was an amazing experience. This was pretty close to real-life whale watching, one of the things on Julius' wish list, among others like flying in a helicopter, an overnight railroad trip, ride with Daddy on his motorcycle, and to have a boat.]
