Hier ist er, unser neues Familienmitglied: Ein Border Collie namens Rylie. Auf einer Ranch beim Schafehüten aufgelesen und im Tierheim abgegeben, dort von mir per Internet entdeckt, jedoch am gleichen von einer Border Collie Rescue Gruppe aus Houston abgeholt, um vor dem Einschläfern gerettet zu werden, nach vielen E-Mails bei seiner Pflegefamilie in San Antonio wiedergefunden und nach einem Hausbesuch endlich adoptiert: Wir haben mit Rylie den absolut besten Hund gefunden, lieb, treu, verspielt, intelligent und schnell. Hier ein paar Fotos von den ersten Tagen in seinem neuen Zuhause.
[There he is, the newest member of our Family: Border Collie "Rylie". He showed up at a ranch near Lampasas, trying to herd their sheep. Since they didn't need another working dog, he was brought to the city animal shelter, where I found him through Petfinder. But that same day, he was picked up by a volunteer through All Border Collie Rescue in Houston. After several e-mails, his foster family in San Antonio got in touch with me. After they came all the way for the mandatory home visit, we finally got to adopt him. He is the best dog a family could ever wish for: good, loyal, playful, intelligent and active. Here are some pictures of the first days at his new home.]
Wie alle Border Collies ist Rylie sehr aktiv. Ball spielen ist seine Lieblinsgbeschäftigung. [He loves fetching tennis balls.]
Rylie ist zwar ausgewachsen, aber jünger als ein Jahr. Deswegen kaut er noch gern auf allem herum. Er könnte bei Stiftung Warentest als Tester für Hundekauspielzeug anfangen. [Rylie is full grown, but younger than a year. So he still loves his chew toys.]
Nach all dem Rennen und Spielen macht Rylie gern ein Nickerchen. [After all that playing and running, he likes to take a nap.]
I have had puppy fever for quite some time, and have looked at so many dogs up for adoption, and puppies from breeders. During all that time, I have been hoping to find the right dog for us and asked God to grant me that heartfelt wish. Conratulations on your newest family member. Many years of fun with Rylie are in store. We can't wait to meet him. :)
He's gorgeous! You've picked a winner with Rylie. Looking forward to meeting him.
Can't wait to meet him on Friday! I am sure he and Dog, Agro and Shep will get along great.
